Among the main targets of the development plan is the complete transformation of Hatta, the exclave of Dubai, located high in the Hajar Mountains, into an attractive local and international destination for business, investment, and tourism as well as developing green and recreational areas to enhance the wellbeing of residents and conserving the heritage and natural environment of the area, also encouraging mountain tourism and sport, and transforming Hatta into a year-round tourist destination to implement the vision of His Highness, transforming Dubai into the world’s best city to live in.
Promoting wellbeing, generating investment opportunities for local people, supporting domestic tourism, attracting investments, and boosting public-private partnerships are the key objectives of this massive new project.
The Plan also seeks to improve public facilities and services for Hatta’s inhabitants and visitors and develop a sustainable transportation system that includes a direct bus service from Dubai to Hatta that allows passengers to carry bicycles and scooters in a compartment onboard.
